[Vwdiesel] Silly question!

Yes, I know of several people who have turned AAZs into mTDIs.  The block,
crank and rods are functionally the same.  As mentioned, the pistons, head,
injection pump, injectors, glow plugs, valve cover need to be changed.  The
pump bracket and timing covers should be as well IMO as the TDI has an
extra idler roller between the cam and injection pump but some have left it
off and been ok.
