[Vwdiesel] It arrived!

All of the AAZs that were fitted to vehicles had the early crank sprocket
interface and so were subject to an alarming failure rate.  Only the
factory rebuilds got the updated TDI crank sprocket.  I would recommend
having the crank modified for the updated sprocket.  Even still, the TDIs
will mess up the crank sprocket if the free-wheel alternator pulley seizes
and stop free-wheeling on overrun.  Regardless of which crank sprocket is
fitted, do not run the serp belt with a solid alternator pulley.  The serp
setup will all fit just fine in a vanagon with the removal of some foam on
the bottom of the engine lid.  The K03 and T2 turbos will fit without
issue.  The K14 is an extreme interference although my personal preference
WRT performance.
