[Vwdiesel] OT MPG

I drove from Seattle to Wichita over 3 days, and kept my RPMs around 2800-3000 as often as possible on the freeway.

I got 36, 43, and 39 mpg avg over the 3 days

just keep the RPMs constant and let the highway speeds vary, up hill or down hill :)

Pretty darn good for a boat the size of manhattan!!!! The thing rides really well.  I have a feeling that it is going to be difficult to come up with accurate MPG readings however.  The filler does not have a regular opening and cap, it has a trap door that you can’t hold open to see when the neck is full.  So my thinking is to let the pump shut off and then fill it to the next full $ reading to keep everything close.  I will keep tabs on both my calculated mpg and the one from the car.  Will let you guys know.  Hayden
