[Vwdiesel] TDI head gasket going, possibly

I have never heard of the newer TDI head gaskets leaking.  For sure, not a BEW with unit injectors.
My 04 Golf is now showing sings.

Have any of you come across this, 135K on the motor.

I have been seeing SLOW coolant lose over the past few months, no drips on ground, figured it was the EGR cooler on the back of the head that circulates coolant around the exhaust gases.  They all failed and leaked coolant into the down pipe and it burns up, so it give you a mystery coolant loss like this.
as I have only had this car 2 years and did not know if it was changed with the recall on the.

But, yesterday, when I opened the coolant reservoir, there is evidence of oil in side of the bottle.
Crap, that only means one thing, head gasket is leaking.

I know some engines can run this way for a long time, what steps should I do next.

Steps.
1.  I was going to look for any coolant in the oil, but hard to see.
2.  Remove and Clean out the coolant reservoir and see how fast the oil scum comes back

???

BIG job to change the head gasket on this motor, for sure.
