Every one I have tried has been the 1540 number that is supposed to be in the car. The problem is they either stop working or the mph is way off. The one in the car now is accurate up to about 30 mph according to the GPS but then it begins to diverge at a really high rate so that by the time it reads 75mph, I am only going 65 mph. I am still working on it. It is just a pain to have remove the steering wheel, the whole dash insert, all the switches and the radio everytime I need to work on it. I have the correct drive gear. I had always thought that the gear went with the speedo but it is actually matched to the final drive gear in the trans. My ACH requires the red one. Hayden

If you have access to a CNC machine, you could dial up exactly that speed and make a quick link-up to drive it. Something I thought up when I worked at Cashmere Manufacturing. :-) Many times I wished I'd picked up a distributor machine I'd seen for sale but in reality, I've had about as much use for it as the valve grinding machine I was given a few years ago. It still sits where I unloaded it.
