Well swapped out the speedo gear on the cable today and sure enough, managed to get the mph near perfect compared to the GPS.  And, as I guessed, there was not a linear change in the odometer which I guessed would be about 4% off, instead it is a bit over 5% off (5 miles/100 miles driven) and I can live with that.  I have never gotten a ticket for having less miles on the car that it is supposed to have but I have sure gotten a ticket for going too fast.  Now speed and RPM match together like they are supposed to.  BTW for those that mentioned tires, I am running 14” VW teardrops with 185’s on them so they are nearly the exact same diameter of the 13” wheels with tires.  Hayden
