[Vwdiesel] Too cold

The other problem can be the thermostat. The aftermarket thermostats are
designed to fit several models with different size engines. I've found that
the thermostat is not always identical to the OEM and will not seal on the
inner step of the housing. That causes coolant to bypass the thermostat and
keeps the engine from coming up to temp or coming up very slowly.

This makes me wonder...what percentage of people who find the TDIs run too
cold are running without the engine cover or the belly pan...
