Hey, this is America (well, mostly). How about ergs/mile?
I always wondered about the mpg increases from propane so I took the 5 gal weed burner bottle, took off the torch and ran the hose out the window and under the hood into the intake. At speed I could run it on propane, make it smoke on propane and saw no noticeable change other than what would be expected in simply changing fuels. No power increase, no smoke decrease, just an increase if I over fueled it. If you had trouble getting enough fuel out of your IP then adding propane would ADD but otherwise it simply seemed to be a replacement.
MPG figures on an electric vehicle simple IRKS me! They can't make mpg. How about real figures like miles/charge, time to recharge from x % and kw/recharge? Tells you more than a calculation that doesn't compute. How many gallons of fuel does an elecric car burn? Moles/mile of electrons? ev/nm?l :-)

I've long thought that the world should go to an energy-based unit for
fficiency. Something like Kjoules/100 km. I too have seen some shenanigans
ith adding other fuels in the mix and not fully accounting for them. This
ould also capture electric vehicles.
I really should call up the world and tell them sometime.
