[Vwdiesel] need more powerfull mk2 1.6 diesel alternator

Curious if anybody has any mods to upgrade from vw offerings that fit mk2 diesel bracket?  Is it as simple as having to convert to serpentine for more amps?  On my old ford I put a 130 3g alternator on it and its vbelt system vs. the serpentine it came with.  Didn't have problems with it.  I'm wondering if I'm stuck with mk2 90 amp model.


I have these on my engines in mk1 chasis.

I also got big radiators it seems, one mk1 ac and my rabbit has ac version of mk2 so I'm not quit sure yet what kind of room problems I am going to have and having to find a custom belt, or maybe I will swap them around since I need to feed a car stereo in the rabbit.


For mk2 did the non ac setups have a longer vbelt from crank/water pump/alt?  I have never seen an ac model but am assuming they had a series of smaller belts.  If so I guess I would have to find a custom belt if I were to mount ac alt swung up like they came?
