[Vwdiesel] Skid Plate Sound deadening?

I removed the belly pan under the engine due to dropping drive train1" to
make sure the rear deck lid had clearance. The biggest noise reduction in
my Vanagon was the turbo eliminating the loud BAAAHH of the stock 1.6
intake system. Possibly some of that dynomat type stuff where applicable
and some undercoating as well? The large open area inside may be
resonating? This is in your bus?
