It *should* be Dave, but no guarantees. You have to ask the supplier to be
certain. I can still get unfilled pumps, or filled, but filled are far far
more common now, and there is oil inside both, just a lot more in the filled
one.

Subject: [Vwdiesel] Is my AC Compressor Prefilled with oil?
I bought a Behr Hella compressor for my '02 Golf but I cannot find any info
for sure if I need to add oil prior to installation or not.
Most everything I can find from Googling only shows the capacity necessary
but nothing I can find for sure says "It is prefilled" or "It is NOT
prefilled" except for one Amazon review where the guy said it was prefilled.
When I pulled the rubber plugs out, it released the nitrogen, one did have a
little oil on the underside, and I feel like I can hear it bubbling around
in there when I turn the wheel, but nothing seems to come out if I turn it
as if I was going to try to pour it out of the holes.
Anyone know for sure if I need to add oil or not?
