Here is what I got back. I found a cuople VW's that were lower in milage. that met the criteria. They Did some averaging and knocked off almost $4000 in milage and some other 3% deduction in asking/selling price. Mileage was $.04 a mile knocked off. All told I got a lot more then the last price they gave. Still wouldn't be enough to actually find the exact one but I know I can find some further away and also 2005's for around $9000. So I can't complain on this since I have all my adds still on the car. Get to keep the car for $1500 and still have $7349.28 to find a minivan and repair the Golf. What does everyone think? I attached what insuarance put below.

Another question is what mini van's should I look for within the $7000 price range and what should I avoid? Any years or options. I want a 7/8 passanger minivan that I could put a hitch on and use when needed for towing. I am not really wanting the factory DVD system as you can buy $100 cheap ones that hang from the back of the seat and are a lot easier to fix/replace. Really don't want a moon/sun roof either.
Will be looking for parts. If anyone knows of a salvage yard that actually has items for a 2004 Golf diesel I would like to know. The few that are out there seem to be gassers. I can find most of the hoses/plastics. I will be in need of a few wires. I chiseled the battery out and airbox and found not too much wire damage. Just the main ones from starter/alt/battery top fuze box are the damaged ones.
I really want to know if I keep fighting to attempt to get more in price. If I do- how?
