  Mix your baking soda in warm water then pour that all over where there could be acid.  There are stronger basic solutions you could use but the advantage of baking soda is, if you hear or see bubling/fizzing then there's acid.  No more fizzing, no more acid and you just need to rinse with warm water.
  My minivan experience goes back to a Caravan.  Not a bad rig but nothing like a TDI wagon.  :-)

Any good ways to deal with battery acid. talking with my brother he did say what 
s on there won't stop until it is neutralized. Do I just throw backing soda all 
ver, wash/repeat till I feel it is good. The battery is outside now. I don't 
now how much leaked at coolant was also leaking so I drained that as well. I 
on't want to come out to a car ate away from acid. At this point it is just the 
esidual that is left in there.
