[Vwdiesel] [VW-TDI] 2004 ALH 01M

I currently have an '02 ALH Wagon with the 01m automatic.  The car managed
to make it 230,000 miles on the original transmission when the previous
owners bought it.  After a few thousand more miles they lost reverse gear
and sold it to me.  I replaced the trans with a good condition used one and
it has been my wife's primary driver for the last year or so.  I like it a
lot.  It is, as you say, very smooth.  I believe that given an easy driver,
the 01M can last a very long time.  Given a driver that stomps on it
frequently, it can be destroyed in short order.
