M9 is probably pretty scarce, you'd likely have to do a 10mm.  Other options would be an SAE size that's in between, but that'd be 1/4" which is actually slightly larger than 10mm.  Only other options I can think of is an insert or clean the hole well and use a thread re-builder epoxy.  McMaster Carr has some thin wall inserts that don't require a huge bore-out.

stock bolt is m8x70, with a cone tip - thinking tap for m9 and try to
