Well, I finally got around to installing the auxiliary tank that I bought for my Jetta about 2 years ago. I went to fill it up and was a bit surprised. I had driven the car into the red on the fuel gauge so that I wouldn’t have to worry about spilling diesel all over my garage. Then, I added 1 gallon of diesel to check for leaks before I took the car and filled it up. I was surprised to find that it took 18.2 gallons, that was to auto click off of the pump. Since the Jetta’s tank only holds 10.5 gallons, can I assume that the auxiliary tank holds 10 gallons? I though that the tanks that fit in the spare tire well were 5 gallons! Anyone know for sure? Either way, I’ve got no leaks and that is good. Tomorrow I will use expanding foam to fill around the filler neck and breather hose as well as install the hold down strap. Hayden
