Subject: [Vwdiesel] Electrically challenged....1.6l diesel
Trying to help a fellow caddy owner who installed an industrial 1.6 diesel engine. Replaced front engine harness with one from a diesel that had the dynamic oil pressure system. There is no oil sender on the oil filter flange and therefore no place to connect the blue wire to the oil filter flange for the dynamic oil pressure system Result: Oil pressure light comes on when key is turned and oil pressure light goes out when oil pressure builds up BUT, the oil pressure relay buzzes due to no connection to sender. I tried to just remove the relay, but then the oil pressure light on dash does not work.
How do I work around this situation?
