As usual; can't see the forest for the trees, DUH! Replacing flange never entered my knat-sized brain. I even think he has one on hand. Just for kicks, will try the "grounding of the wire" method. Thanks for clearing the cobwebs as usual folks, ken

As I recall, one of the OP senders is open for pressure, the other is closed (grounded). Might be wrong and both are grounded but that's in my head for SOMETHING! ;-)
You could always drill and tap the oil filter housing for the other sender if you want the system to actually operate. They usually have one or two bosses for that purpose (two, are for turbo supply and sender).

couldn't you just ground the blue lead?
That would tell the dynamic system that
the system is pressurized, and if the pressure falls in the head, it should
still alarm, no?

I would go find VW 1.6 oil flange that has the holes
tapped for the sender. If it will fit the block. It the block not a VW?Someone
on this list has an extra I am sure.

Trying to help a fellow caddy owner who installed an industrial 1.6 diesel
engine. Replaced front engine harness with one from a diesel that had the
dynamic oil pressure system. There is no oil sender on the oil filter flange and
therefore no place to connect the blue wire to the oil filter flange for the
dynamic oil pressure system Result: Oil pressure light comes on when key is
turned and oil pressure light goes out when oil pressure builds up BUT, the oil
pressure relay buzzes due to no connection to sender. I tried to just remove the
relay, but then the oil pressure light on dash does not work.

How do I work
around this situation?
