[Vwdiesel] Cruise control

Hi Val

The AHU has the fly by wire throttle. Sounds like your Switch or switch wiring has an intermittent connection somewhere, but all the speed control is done in the ECM and injection pump internally. The Bentley should have a diagram you may be able to use to ohm the switch assy out.  Best of luck.  Doug

In this case, the cruise will fire up, and if I do a left turn signal,
the cruise will drop off.  That is the normal modality.  The second
modality, which it is in right now is not coming on at all.

The conclusion I have come to is that the problem is electrical.  Compressed
air, contact cleaner and four letter incantations have not worked.
