[Vwdiesel] Moving violation

It's been a few years since Goldie (87TD) was violated from behind.

Impact drove me and the driver's seat through the floor. Quick work with 
some coat hangers (always in the trunk) made it 'driveable' again, while 
I "prepared" its replacement, another A2 (89TD,still the daily driver)  
for the road.

Goldie had 550,000 kms on the clock, it was her time. (Sigh)


I think the controlled disintegration resulting from the impact, and the 
years of rusted out  seams and spot-welds. was the reason I suffered no 
injuries.

I had been ready to take it to the junkyard that week, and told the guy, 
who was probably texting, that I would not likely fix it.

He insisted on giving me $200 to kiss the incident off. I accepted. His 
plastic Yaris (piece of shit) appeared undamaged.

My trailer hitch was driven into the trunk.

Saved the engine, scrapped the rest. Scrapped the engine this fall to 
recover garage space.

Time passes, girlfriends, wives, and cars come and go. Surviving is the key!

I'm 82 and still have a driver's license, wife, home, (with detached 
shop) and a diesel daily driver.

Doyt is still ahead of me! (I think?)
