Used to be you had to swap the e-brake lever to the new shoes (not a big deal, one pin with a retainer clip). The last couple I have done came with a new lever attached. Straight swap.

Finally got a large enough puller to pull the drum but it didn't come offw/o a fight. Had to turn the puller a little, hammer w/rubber mallet & turnthe puller a little more until it "popped". Then walked the drum off theshoes. The shoe hold down pins are gone! The springs and the hold down clipswere there but no pins. The inner seal popped out during the drum removal. So, will be replacing the inner seal and ordered a hardware kit. Thoughtabout swapping shoes but the rear shoe has the E-Brake lever and willrequire removal and installation on the other shoe to complete the swap.I plan to repack the bearings with synthetic grease._______________________________________________Vwdiesel mailing listVwdiesel at vwfans.comhttp://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/vwdiesel
