If I recall correctly, the 5000 Turbo and 5000 Turbo quattro have had the
water cooled turbo with after-shutoff pump since model year 1986. Check
your owner's manual and it should say something about it. It is probably
still a good idea to let the car idle for a minute after a hard drive
before shutting off the engine, although turbo failure in these Audis
have been rather rare.
