The 4000 quattro and the turbo quattro Coupe does use the same
transmission model, but they have different gear ratios to match the
torque characteristics of the respective engines.  I am not certain,
but I think the CV joints and driveshafts may also be a bit stronger
on the quattro Coupe, and perhaps there are differences in the shift
linkage as well.

In the case of "California Quattro", Ron had the quattro Coupe engine
and transmission already as a unit, so it made sense to do the swap
whole.
