Which Quattro?
Well, I'm thinking of getting a new car myself. I'm sick of single handedly
supporting the insurance industry with my criminal premiums, so maybe I'll
chill for a while and rid myself of the sporty coupe and try a sedan for a
while.
I like my SO's 4000Q very much, so I thought I'd try a 5000TQ. Located two
at a dealer and drove an '86. To be honest, I was less than impressed. I
really wanted to like it too. Oh well. Then the salesdrone shows me a new
'91 90 Quattro 20V. The is a little high for me right now, but I thought,
what's to lose? So I drove it over the same loop as the 5000TQ. Fantastic.
Now I really want one.
I have a few questions though. Are problems inherent to this car? Any really
good points? Do the facists (read: insurance industry) regard this as a run
of the mill four door, or do they tack a premium on this one too? Overall,
I'd like some general impressions of the car.
Am I missing any (reasonably) affordably Quattros? No coupe because of the
door count, and unfortunately no V8's (too pricey). I supposed I could get
another 4000Q, but it would be nice to have non-identical cars. It's a bit
too cutesy for me.
