And Now for something completely different!

Apparently the powers that be here in California in the recent storm that
hit the Sierra's required ALL vehicles to use chains including 4WD that
have M+S tires. I vaguely remember something about recommendations for
Quattros (like don't do it!) - Anybody have any recommendations for chain 
type / placement (front/rear)?

(God I hate chains! This is a big part of the reason for buying my
5000CSQ!)
