AUDI 4000S-86: Can i use SR tires?

What are the draw backs to installing two SR tires on the front axle? 

background: 1986 Audi 4000S 60K, with 180/HR/14 tires.
Very nice car- pretty powder blue metalic paint, pwr roof,
sharp interior with leather, full console gauges, 
CD stereo, and very clean and well maintained.

Two Pirelli tires need replacing.
The two good tires have 10K miles so i will not rotate tires diagonally.
HR tires are rated for 130 Mph, hard cornering & cost more.

This car's shift indicator calls for 5th gear at 45 mph and
at 75 mph it is at 4700 RPM and quite loud (partially tire noise but
also crying for a higher gear.) SR tires are speed rated for 112 MPH 
and i wouldn't drive the car faster than that :-)  or excessively 
corner it hard.
