I just went through the back brakes on my '89 100Q, and had the
fronts inspected. While some shops will try to turn rotors, there
is not really enough material to turn them and maintain the minimum
thickness. My rotors were at .820 (I think), minimum is .815".
Not enough left. I've been told to replace the rotors when the
pads need it, probably this summer or fall.

THe good news is that Imparts has good rotors for $45 each, I think.
Since turning them costs probably $20-25, it hardly seems worth
taking the chance. Then, I'm fussy about brakes and tires.
