steering rack

Greetings --

My 86 5000 is ready for one of the audi 5000 rites of middle age -- replacement
of the steering rack.  PAP has a special this month on them (about $250 for
the full rack) with a year warrantee but they cant tell me who rebuilt them.
Any horror stories/good experience with the PAP racks?  PAP seems like a real
reputable place.

             hows $79.00 for a $299.95 ABT 4 spoke leather steering
             wheel sound?
