I have a 1990 80Q, and I have seen the same behavior. I believe that it has
been there since the car was new. (it is very faint).
On an unrelated note, is anyone planning on going to the Quattro Club event at
Summit Point, WV on Sept 6,7? It was fun last year, and it is supposed to be
only Audis this year (last year we shared the track with other types of cars
(Porsches, Mustangs, a souped-up Rabbit GTi, and I don't remember what else)
