No, not at all - I have the same car.  (BTW, there is a GLI list on
this server as well.)

Rock solid, reliable cars, decent performers (5cyl).  Decent amount
of upgrades though not as much as VWs.  I'd love one myself.

Similar to VW here - was it well maintained?  If so, no problem.

$2k-$5k depending on year, milage and condition.  I'd get an
86 or 87, but any post 84 should be fine.
