Most ABS systems do that and every one that I've driven does as well.
Generally, if one applys the brake within a few seconds after the
ignition is switched on and the car is moving, the ABS return pump will
be actuated. Refer to that earlier post about ABS operation for
further details.
BTW, that was a great post--a lot is written about the computer control
of ABS, but not much about how the hydraulic part actually works.
