Just for the record.  Carlsen Porsche/Audi/VW is located in 
Palo Alto, California.  Linda is a veteran of the parts department
there.  I've been buying wholesale parts from her for over
10 years and asked here to extend the privelage to this group.
All you need to do is mention the Quattro internet group(this group).
Thats what I call it anyway.  They don't always have the best prices
but for a lot of dealer only parts, Lindas prices are hard to beat.
btw, if you forget to mention the group you *will* get a retail price.

Also, the Porsche internet group(Porschephiles) is also participating
in recieving the discounts.  As far as I know she has not extended the
privalege to the internet newsgroup.  Although she probably doesn't
know the difference yet between the internet newsgroup and this
quattro group.

I've spoken with the owner of Carlsen about this group, and Linda has 
cleared this arrangment with her manager.  Hopefully someday other dealerships
will catch on and lower thier prices too.  But don't hold your breath.

Linda drives a Porsche 356 and is married to a highly skilled
factory trained Porsche mechanic. (he works on my car now and then)
Even though they are mostly a Porsche family, she has talked about
buying a newer Quattro in the future.
