Unintended Acceleration (was Re: 82 Coupe GT)

When I got an '86 5000 CS turbo w/ automatic, I got a tape with it that
the previous owner had been sent from Audi. It tried to disprove the
problem. They used a famous race car driver (I think it was Emerson
Fitipaldi). They showed braking distances from 60-0 with and without
the accelerator depressed fully. The difference turned out to be about
10 feet or less. I'll have to watch the tape again (if I can find it!)

The deal is that the car can still stop handily even if the engine is
at full throttle. Can you say Driver Error!! Anyway, I am happy with
my current (and past) Audis.
