You can pick up kits for this very purpose at the local car-parts joint or
discount store for just a few dollars.  Be sure the glass is really
clean and that it is warm during cure.

Interesting that the internal rearview mirror on my '87 Syncro is not
glued to the glass, but is on a pendant from the top of the windshield frame.
Unlike the Mazdas I have driven with this setup, it is not mounted too low
for me to see under.
