I recently bought a K&N air filter from Rapid Parts in New York.
from the quattro parts list:
* Rapid Parts (NY) 914-357-6611  
        Very reputable, carries some Audi OEM parts

price was 31.95 for the filter, don't recall the shipping (was ups).
Ordered friday, on my doorstep on wednesday.  (for a 1990 80 Quattro,
2.3l 5 cyl, no turbo)
