On my TQQ, the accumulator is a small sphere, the size of a grapefruit, 
which sits on a plate on the drivers side of the engine compartment. Not 
sure were it is on the 5k series. It has hydraulic lines running to the 
plate. The ball has a diaphram in it, hydraulic fluid on one side and 
nitrogen on the other.

Not sure, haven't done it to my car.
