Several people on this list have Boge Turbo Gas struts and have expressed
happiness with them. I too have them on my '87 5000 TQ and would highly
recommend them. They are a good compromise between ride comfort and handling.
Although there are stiffer shocks available I don't know whether you
want to stiffen the ride too much considering its your family hauler
(its a wagon, right?). The stock shocks on my car were hydraulics, and they
were too weak. Your car probably came with the hydraulics too.

I had found the best prices on Boge at RD Enterprises and Stranos.
