Superchips for non-Turbo

I've been following the "superchip" discusion here and it seems the 
turbo superchip mod is not a chip at all, but mods to increase boost. 
Does anyone know about the non-turbo kit? They claim 22 hp. improvement. 
Does anyone here know how this is done? Is this really a "chip" of some sort 
(prom, eprom, cpu, etc.)? Is anyone on this list using this mod? 
Comments please. I am mostly interested in the five cylinder mods.
