I heard the orig Mobil 1 was a "synthetic blend" and NOT 100% synthetic.
As Amsoil and other 100% synthetics became more popular, Mobil switched
to a 100% synth to remain competetive.

Also, I'd like to correct a previous misconception on my part about changing
accumulators. Based on several postings, it soulds like a straightforward
and non-lethal enough preocedure to be done by the DIYer.
