Jeff,

I've been thinking about this for a couple of reasons. The oil in the
expansion tank is blacker than the oil in the crankcase. It looks almost
like used oil from a diesel engine - black and very opaque without any
red or green tint that oil usually has. Also, the total lack of other
symptoms, especially no water in the crankcase or water loss at all,
leads me to wonder just where the stuff could come from. I don't have
an oil cooler... 'tis a puzzlement...
