I also have MTL running in my '87 5000S 5 speed. It's supposed to take 3.5
pints to fill the tranny/final drive. It has helped plenty in winter. I
used to never be able to get 1st gear until engine is warm.
European Car mag gives a hearty '2 thumbs up' to Spectro GL-5?? synthetic
lube as well.
