Hazardous Waste (Alameda County)

I am pretty Jazzed.  This morning I LEGALLY got rid of all my
used gearoil, transmission fluid, antifreeze, etc....  As a side bonus this
was free!

If you live in alameda county (SF bay area), you can call  hazardous waste
disposal at (800) 606-6606 and make an appointment to dispose of your
hazardous waste.  To reach this number you need to call within the 510
area code.  They have two collection sites.  One in livermoore and
one in hayward.

I found them very efficient.  They send me a questioner before hand to fill 
out.
At the appointed time, I drove up, they unloaded the car and verified that I 
do
live in the county and that was it.  The whole thing took less than 5 
minutes.

For all of you outside this county, you may want to call your garbage
collection service and see if your county offers similar service.
