I think there is a file on this in the archives.
You need to bypass the amplification of the rear speakers.
BTW, if anyone needs one, I have an extra radio for the 1988 90
(and others I'm sure). It's the Heidelberg model. I was saving
it in case mine got stolen, but it's silly to keep it around
`just in case'. No, I didn't steal it :), the dealer gave it to
me when I bought my GLI (used) as a replacement for the broken
radio that came with it.
