I think they do!
When I needed a rear tie rod end for my Q, the dealer quoted C$370.00 (it
only comes as a complete tie rod, can not get the tie rod end alone). The
VW dealer sells the same part for C$330.00. The cheapest price I could get
was C$270.00 from an independent parts store. By the time I ordered the
part (one week later) the same parts store quoted C$330.00. They must have
smartened up in the mean time! I got it finally from them for C$290.00
after a bit of haggling. For that price the ball joint did not even include
a nut! Talk about inflated prices!
