Re[5]: 4-cylinder engine



     Thanks -- I stand corrected about the 4-banger.  Now I know why the 
Fox is such a dog!  (Some sort of canine theme going here?)  BTW, anyone 
interested in a slightly used and frequently overrevved Fox?  :)

The fox engine is similar to the 2.0 but besides lacking the 200 cc's, it 
doesn't have the compression, stroke, larger intake valves or electronic 
timing & knock sensor that the 2.0 does.  To make matters worse, on the fox 
there's an o-ring in the exhaust in front of the cat that restricts the 
exhaust flow of the poor thing to about the volume of a fruit fly's fart.
I don't know what the relative output of the two engines is, but I bet the 
2.0 might have 50% more nads than the fox, and that sb fine for the 80/90.
