The other factor to consider is that in the search for low drivetrain
noise, Audi engineers used very soft engine mounts on the relatively
rougher and noisier 20V. Personally, I find the extra drivetrain
movement from the soft engine mounts unacceptable. Hence the Passat
VR6 in my driveway instead of the Quattro 20V. :)
