I'm not so sure that you want to classify this as among the "marginally
necessary" ones. With Hydraulic lifters, the return of noisy lifters
usually signifies insufficient oil pressure caused by insufficient oil.
Check you oil level when you hear the ticking, you'll probably need to add,
and when you do, the noise will be gone. Hope this helps...
