Leaking auto transmission

Hi Netters,
over the last few month my '86 5000CST developed a small leak
on the right hand side of the auto trans. I already replaced the
gasket, my first guess, but noticed later that the fluid escapes
the trans housing at least 3cm above the gasket, maybe higher.
It is about 2-3 drops overnight, more anoying than a real problem now.
It's not the "standard Audi problem" = seal between trans and final drive,
which was replaced about 60k miles ago. It's trans fluid, nicely red
not contaminated by final drive oil. Any clues?
