A 0.0015" feeler guage will *not* fit between the cam eccentric and the
vacume pump actuating rod! I presume this means, given the strength of the
spring, that there is no clearence and that the rod is *not* too short.
It appears to me, and perhaps you can confirm it, that oiling of the vacume
pump is via splash technology. i.e. what ever splashes in gets in, and
whatever splashes out does, and the rest just stays around until it gets old
and sticky.
