Audi fielded Trans-Am cars, and yes, after several weight, tire, and 
air intake restrictions, the cars won anyway.  Therefore they were banned.
Walter Rohl and Hurley Haywood were the Team Audi drivers.

Do any of you happen to have a copy of the "Secrets of Speed", "The Unfair
Advantage" program?  It was broadcast on either TNN or ESPN.  An excellent
all Audi quattro program.  I have a rather poor copy, and would like to get
a better one..
